Emergency First Aid - 7 hour course

 First Aid & CPR Guidelines 2005 and meets OH&S regulations for Basic First Aid

Simple First Aid & CPR techniques taught in an interactive environment, for individuals who want an overview of First Aid & CPR for the workplace or home. The course covers skills needed to recognize, prevent and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for Adults, CPR Level A, and other topics such as choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission. 3-year certification in Emergency First Aid & CPR Level A (CPR information is enhanced to meet specific workplace needs), Includes AED (Automated External Defibrillation) certification.

No prerequisite or pre-course assignment is required.

Workplace Standard First  Aid - 14 hour course

 Meets First Aid & CPR Guidelines 2005 and OH&S regulations for Standard First Aid

Comprehensive First Aid & CPR techniques for those who need training for work requirements, or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies in the workplace or home. The course covers a variety of topics from basic (such as cardiovascular and breathing emergencies, CPR Level A, prevention of disease transmission) to in-depth topics, such as sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine. 3-year certification in Standard First Aid & CPR Level, (CPR information is enhanced to meet specific workplace needs), Includes AED (Automated External Defibrillation) certification. 

No prerequisite or pre-course assignment is required.

On Board Boating Proctored Exam - as needed

Emergency Child Care First Aid- 7.5 hour course

Standard Child Care First Aid - 16 hour course 

Includes 2005 First Aid & CPR Guidelines and meets OH&S regulations for Standard First Aid 

Comprehensive First Aid & CPR training for individuals who need training for child care or early childhood education work, or who simply want more knowledge to respond to babies’ and children’s injuries and emergencies at home. The course covers a variety of topics from basic first aid such as cardiovascular emergencies, CPR Level B, choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission to more in-depth topics such as sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine. 3-year certification in Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR Level B or legislation or professional designation dictates.Includes AED certification.

 No prerequisite or pre-course assignment is required.

Preventing Disease Transmission - 2 hour course

This two hour course will provide you with the infomation to protect yourself, your workplace and those around you from contamination during an emergency.  Targeting the basics of environmental and person controls, this course provides you with the skill to create a safe rescue and working environement.

 Red Cross Standard First Aid Recert

 Meets First Aid & CPR Guidelines 2005 and OH&S regulations

Keep your Standard First Aid up to date without having to complete the entire 14hr course. This 7 hour course will review your skills and keep you updated on new practices, techniques and standards. Participants must possess a current Standard First Aid certificate (from any recognized agency) to attend a recertification.

Prerequisite: Current Standard First Aid Certification from any recognized agency.
